italy: j.k. place, florence

Florence is a stunningly beautiful city, but it is also, during certain parts of the year, a Disney World for culturally-inclined American tourists. They overrun the city's well-known museums and more famous piazze. So, it's really very nice stay at the J.K. Place- it's situated on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella, a smaller, less touristy with a lovely garden and picturesque church.
The hotel is the perfect size and while rooms are small, service is impeccable and it is still within close walking range to almost all of Florence's must-see sights.  The hotel serves a perfect Aperol spritz and aperativi snacks are available all day. Of course, the main draw of any J.K. Place hotel is the decor and the Florence location does not disappoint. My only suggestion: lose the roof terrace install a small pool (like the hotel across the piazza) so guests can beat the summer heat.
